Wilson Security Racing V8 Supercar driver David Wall has bowed to pressure and joined the world of social media!

David said it was exciting to talk directly to fans of the sport.

"I have seen how Wilson Security Racing use social media and I really like the idea of being able to speak directly to people who are interested in what we are doing," said David.

"Hopefully I will be able to give them more of an insight into the world of a V8 Supercar driver than they would normally get."

David is in his first full year in the V8 Supercar Championship and Facebook is just another new experience.

Something that is not new to David is racing a V8 Supercar at Phillip Island raceway which is what he will be doing this weekend as a part of the fifth round of the Championship. Prior to joining the Championship full time David raced there as a co-driver in the first of the seasons endurance races for the previous three year. The past two were spent with his current team, Brad Jones Racing team.

David and the team have been working hard on the set up of the car all year. In the previous round at Perth there were significant improvements, with David running as high as 10th place during race two.

"I am getting more comfortable with the car and we are beginning to understand how we can improve it," said David.

"I am enjoying working with the team at Wilson Security Racing and looking forward to delivering the results I know we are capable of."
