The Hamilton Street Circuit played host to races 5 and 6 of the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship. This was a first for rookie David Wall who drove the track for the very first time on Friday.

Yesterday's braking problem was all fixed for Wilson Security Racing at Hamilton today but unfortunately rear tyre life was the price David Wall had to pay.
Ten laps into today's race at Hamilton saw David Wall make a slip that affected the rest of the Wilson Security Racing driver's race.
Struggling with poor braking on the harder, control tyres, Wall misjudged a corner and made contact with the tyre wall.
Another round, another new circuit for V8 Supercars rookie David Wall but the Wilson Security Racing driver is getting to grips with Hamilton Street Circuit quickly.
After spending two sessions learning the ropes, Wall found considerable time in the final two sessions, finishing 24th fastest overall.
Symmons Plains provided a great rural feel for races 3 and 4 of the Championship.
